Course Description
One of the traditional Northumberland golf courses, Seahouses Golf Club celebrated its centenary year in 2013 and is held in high regard by golfers in the surrounding area.
It was first founded in 1913 as a nine-hole course before being upgraded in 1976 to a full 18-hole layout, and has since hosted many Northumberland Golf County competition events over the years.
The layout itself stands firm with a standard scratch of 68 which is rarely bettered and it also boasts two of the most prestigious par-3s in the north of England. The tenth hole is played over a loch that stretches from tee to green and the 15th is played over a cove with the sea from tee to green.On top of that it offers an impressive mix of twelve links holes and six parkland holes, all of which keeps you on your toes as you make your way round.
And no matter what time of year you go to Seahouses you will be able to play the full course, as the club never uses temporary tees or greens. When you couple the fantastic fare on offer in the lounge and warm welcome you'll receive from everyone at the club, a trip to Seahouses will certainly make you and the rest of your society a very happy group of golfers.
