Course Description
Manor (Kingstone) Golf Club only opened in 1992 but it has already firmly established itself on the local golfing circuit.
Significant improvements have been made to the course since the club was established as a business venture by the Bathew family in the early 90s.
In 1999, the club acquired 16 acres of adjacent land and built three brand new holes – a par-3, a par-4 and a par-5 – and got rid of three par-3s, which raised the par of the course up to a more respectable 71.
USGA specification greens were also built by greens staff to raise the qualities of its putting surfaces. New, larger tees boxes have also been constructed to keep up with the popularity of the course.
The signature hole is the 382-yard par-4 fourth, called Ivor’s Island. As you may expect by the name, after a tee shot to a fairway narrower than it looks, the second shot must carry a pond to a long, narrow green.
The clubhouse is located between the first tee and 18th green and, from here, you can relax in the first floor lounge, which boasts panoramic views over the surrounding Staffordshire countryside.
