Course Description
Look out over the Clyde Estuary or marvel at the stunning Ben Lomond and Kilpatrick Hills while you make your way around the course, and you are offered arguably some of the most spectacular views in the West of Scotland, as well as some of the most scenic layouts in Scotland.
Gleddoch Golf Course was originally designed by J. Hamilton Stutt in 1974, and the club has just celebrated its 45th anniversary. It quickly established itself as one of the best courses in the region, primarily as it is challenging for all golfers and is slightly undulating, making placement off the tee essential.
Gleddoch’s most famous visitor must surely be the great Seve Ballesteros, who hosted a corporate day at the club in 1985 and dazzled members with his typical array of shot making skills. The signature hole is undoubtedly the par-four 17th. Boasting a breathtaking 150-foot drop to the green from the tee, the hole is highly rated by members and guests alike. Thanks to a multi-million pound refurbishment, the playing experience for visitors has become even better, with many pointed to the wonderfully-kept greens.
